NYPD arrests man for multiple home burglaries in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police have arrested a man in connection to a string of home burglary incidents reported in September.

Ruben Ruiz, 53, was charged with 17 counts of burglary in the second degree.

Police say Ruiz forced his way into residences around Atlantic Avenue and Saint James Place, Lafayette Avenue and Grand Avenue, and Grand Avenue and Clifton Place. He stole tools valued at over $3,100.

The burglaries occurred from Sept. 14 to 28. No one was injured in any of the incidents.
