NEW YORK (PIX11) --- The NOVA Music Festival Exhibition remembering the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks in Israel will remain open in New York City until late June, organizers said.
The four-week festival opened on April 22 at 35 Wall St. in Downtown Manhattan before it was extended until June 22, organizers said. The interactive installation focuses on remembering those who were killed at a music festival in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
The exhibition premiered in Tel Aviv for 10 weeks before it opened in the 50,000-square-foot space in Lower Manhattan.
The exhibit drew hundreds of pro-Palestinian protests on Monday, leading Gov. Kathy Hochul to speak out against the protest in a social media post.
"The Nova exhibit memorializes the victims of the October 7 attack. The antisemitic displays that took place outside of the venue last night are abhorrent. Hateful acts like these have no place in New York," Hochul posted on X.
