NEW YORK (PIX11) – The gowns. The music. The drama!

The second part of the third season of the hit Netflix TV show "Bridgerton" will be released on Thursday. This season focuses on the romance between Colin Bridgerton, the third Bridgerton family member on the hunt for love, and Penelope Featherington, whose secret identity could cause chaos as she seeks a husband.

Netflix held its own Regency-esque ball in New York City last year, called The Queen's Ball: A Bridgerton Experience. And it was an experience – attendees could interact with actors, see set recreations, learn dances and even present themselves to the queen.

The Queen's Ball: A Bridgerton Experience has since left the Big Apple, but that doesn't mean there aren't other opportunities to feel like nobility yourself. Here are some of these formal events happening in New York City:

Culture Lab LIC's Funky Formal

Art and culture-focused nonprofit Culture Lab LIC is hosting its first-ever Funky Formal. The event will feature live music, a DJ, classy drinks, and food.

The dress code is "your most fabulous and funky attire. Think bold colors, dazzling patterns, and retro chic," the organizers said.

It will be held on Friday, June 14, from 8 p.m. to midnight at 5-25 46th Ave. in Queens. General admission tickets start at $81.88.

2024 NYBLACKMBA Black Tie Cocktail Gala

The Metro New York chapter of the National Black MBA Association is hosting a black-tie cocktail gala at the Hard Rock Hotel Times Square.

There will be music, a dance floor, hors d'oeuvres, dessert, a two-hour open bar, and more.

"Dress to impress in your best black-tie attire and get ready to mingle with fellow professionals in a vibrant atmosphere," organizers said.

The event will be held on Oct. 4, starting at 8 p.m. The dress code is black tie.

Early bird tickets for members start at $157.34, and non-member early bird tickets cost $183.27. To buy tickets, click here.

Brooklyn Black Tie Ball

The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy will hold its own black-tie event overlooking the Manhattan skyline on Pier 2.

You may even rub elbows with celebrities like actor Matt Damon, actress Keri Russell, and late-night TV host Seth Meyers, who all attended the event in 2023.

Last year's Brooklyn Black Tie Ball raised $1.6 million, which directly benefits programming and events held in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Tickets are expensive, with a single ticket costing $1,500. One of the packages, which includes tickets for 20 guests, premium seating, and other benefits, costs $100,000.

It will be held on Oct. 9 starting at 6 p.m. To buy tickets, click here.

New York Scottish Fall Ball 2024

For a more traditional formal event, you can check out the New York Scottish Fall Ball at The Down Town Association.

The event includes dancing (with dance cards!), whiskey tasting, dinner, a raffle, and more. It will benefit the New York Caledonian Club, a nonprofit organization that aims to immerse people in Scottish culture.

The dress code is long gowns, black tie, or Highland dress, which usually includes a tartan kilt. Organizers will also host classes for beginners at traditional dances.

"However, the Scottish Ball is not limited to those of Celtic descent; we welcome all who enjoy an evening of music, dance, good food and fine whisky!" organizers said.

The event will be held on Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. Early bird tickets start at $225.

Yorkville Ball 2024

Search and Care, a nonprofit that offers fee-free services to over 20,000 vulnerable older New Yorkers, will be hosting its annual Yorkville Ball on Nov. 9.

Last year's event required formal wear and costume masks. It also included an open bar and a live band.

Tickets at 2023's event cost $325 at the door. More details about this year's event will be released at a later time, organizers said.
