NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- The beloved dog cafe Boris & Horton with locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn will reopen thanks to a successful fundraising campaign.

The campaign raised $250,000 after hundreds of New Yorkers shared their concerns over the loss of the city's first dog cafe.

"Thank you so much to everyone that supported this campaign," the owners shared on Instagram. "We’re thrilled that both locations will be reopening in the coming weeks and we’ll be sharing more details on what to expect very soon. We’re humbled and grateful and we can’t wait for what’s to come!"

The owners haven't disclosed a date of when the cafe will reopen but in a story posted on Instagram, they shared they're "making reopening plans," with a picture of two pups.

The news of the cafe's closing was announced on Feb. 16. Both the East Village and Williamsburg locations were set to close on Monday.

Boris and Horton first opened in 2018 on Avenue A and they later opened another location on Driggs Avenue in 2023. Visitors could bring their dogs to socialize with other pups while having a cup of coffee or a baked good.
