COLUMBUS CIRCLE, Manhattan (PIX11) – See what it's like to live life in plastic at the new exhibition Barbie®: A Cultural Icon at the Museum of Arts and Design.
The exhibition is on display now through March 16, 2025, and outlines Barbie’s global impact through her 65-year history. Visitors will get a chance to step into some of the doll’s most iconic playsets with life-sized, interactive displays throughout the exhibit.
Life-long fans of Barbie will feel nostalgia as they walk through displays of more than 250 vintage dolls, including the franchise's first Black doll, Christie.
While getting in between the seams, visitors will also see some of Barbie’s fashions up close with life-sized recreations of her outfits.
The exhibition also features photo-ops including Barbie’s life-sized convertible car, doll boxes, and other playset scenes.
Entry into the Barbie®: A Cultural Icon exhibition is included with tickets into the Museum of Arts and Design.
