NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (
CBI
) on Thursday made a breakthrough in the
NEET-UG paper leak
case, arresting the close associate of mastermind
Rakesh Ranjan
from his hideout in
Nalanda district
of Bihar.
Rocky
was apprehended after the CBI conducted a series of raids at four locations, including Patna and Kolkata.
The CBI team, acting on crucial leads gathered during the interrogation of previously arrested suspects, traced Rocky's whereabouts using advanced techniques such as IP address and email address tracking.
Rocky was produced before the CBI's special court in Patna, where he was remanded to 10 days of CBI custody for further questioning.
