MTA bus driver assaulted in the Bronx: NYPD

THE BRONX (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a suspect they said assaulted an MTA bus driver in the Bronx on Saturday.

Officials said that a man was getting off the BX3 bus punched and spit on the 28-year-old driver near West 183rd Street and University Avenue at 7:30 p.m.

The driver was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, according to police.
