NEW DELHI: Australian cricket star Steve Smith has expressed admiration for former Indian and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni, highlighting his unparalleled cricketing acumen and leadership prowess.
Speaking on Star Sports, Smith praised Dhoni, emphasizing that there's no one in India who surpasses the 42-year-old's understanding of the game.

Smith, who shared the field with Dhoni during his stint with CSK, described the experience as "tremendous," emphasizing Dhoni's exceptional skills behind the stumps.

"There's no one better in India to have behind the stumps than MS Dhoni. The way he understands the game and the angles of the game is second to none. So look, he was a tremendous person to play with. I really enjoyed his company on and off the field," Smith remarked.

Furthermore, Smith lauded Dhoni's demeanour, referring to him as a "chilled" individual who contributed significantly to his cricketing development.
The former Australian cricket captain added, "He's such a chilled guy, obviously extremely busy with loads of things outside the game, but extremely chilled down to earth and a wonderful person. There were many occasions where MS was fantastic. You know, I really enjoyed playing with him. I enjoyed leading him as well. He certainly helped me out."
