2024 has been unveiled by the Central government, and among them is Parbati Baruah, India's pioneering female elephant mahout, who has been honored with the Padma Shri award.

Mithun Chakraborty is known for his dynamic performances and powerful portrayals in Bengali and Hindi cinema. Chiranjeevi has an illustrious career spanning four decades and has worked in over 150 films across five languages. Usha Uthup, on the other hand, is rightly known as the Queen of Indian Pop. She is known for her versatile voice and diverse repertoire that transcends genres.

This year, the Central government has revealed a list of 117 Padma Shri awardees, featuring notable individuals such as tennis player Rohan Bopanna, philanthropist Kiran Nadar, former hockey player Harbinder Singh, and many others.
The current year's list comprises 30 female awardees. Additionally, there are 8 individuals from the category of foreigners/NRI/PIO/OCI, and the list recognizes 9 Posthumous awardees.
