AAP government

and accused it of strangulating

in the state.
“Sidhu has become the latest victim of AAP regime due to his outspoken criticism of its anti-people policies,” said Bajwa.

He urged for Sidhu’s immediate release and the dismissal of all false cases filed against him.
“Earlier, Punjab Police under AAP government harassed anti-drug activist Parminder Singh alias Jhota for speaking out against the alleged nexus between police and drug smugglers,” Bajwa said.
The senior Congress leader said that Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann who, before becoming the CM, used to encourage people to question political leaders, has now got rattled by the people’s criticism.

“The people of Punjab still remember how AAP government got the X (formerly known as Twitter) handles and Facebook pages of several journalists, who have been exposing government on its wrong policies, blocked,” Bajwa added.
