Man stabbed in head in Times Square: police

THEATER DISTRICT, Manhattan (PIX11) -- A man was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver in Times Square Tuesday evening, police said.

The stabbing happened near West 43rd Street and Seventh Avenue around 7:15 p.m., according to the NYPD.

A 31-year-old man was stabbed, police said. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, according to authorities.

No arrests have been made. Police did not provide any suspect details.
