Man shot and killed in Soho during possible robbery, shooter at large: NYPD

NEW YORK (PIX11)-- A man was fatally shot outside an upscale Italian furniture store in Soho on Tuesday morning, according to police.

Officers responded to the shooting at 43 Greene St. at around 5:15 a.m. and found a 31-year-old male had been shot three times in his right leg. EMS personnel rushed the victim to the hospital but he could not be saved.

Investigators believe the incident leading up to the shooting was a possible robbery that turned deadly. The suspect fled in a black SUV in an unknown direction, police said.

No arrests have been made.

The deceased identity is pending family notification. An investigation remains ongoing.
