Man's body found inside vehicle on the Long Island Expressway: police

HAUPPAUGE, Long Island (PIX11) -- A man was found dead inside a vehicle on the Long Island Expressway Wednesday afternoon, according to Suffolk County Police.

The body was located around 1:15 p.m. near Route 111.

Police say the vehicle was parked on the shoulder of the eastbound Long Island Expressway. The man, later identified as Luis Gonzalez, 62, was in the front seat.

The Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
