Man killed in hit-and-run in Bushwick: NYPD

BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (PIX11) --- A pedestrian was killed by a box truck while crossing the street in Brooklyn Friday morning, police said.

The man was struck midblock near Dekalb and Wyckoff avenues in Bushwick at around 9:40 a.m., according to the NYPD. The victim was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.

The box truck driver took off after the incident, police said. There have been no arrests.

The man's identity has not been released.
