Man found dead on blanket on Brooklyn sidewalk: NYPD

BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn (PIX11) ---A man was found dead on a Brooklyn sidewalk early Thursday, police said.

Authorities found the unconscious man lying on a blanket on the sidewalk near 112 Watkins St. in Brownsville at around 3:50 a.m., according to the NYPD. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information was immediately available.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.
