THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police have arrested a man in connection with body parts found in a cart in Yonkers and in an apartment in the Bronx.
Muhammad Aadil, a 40-year-old Bronx resident, faces multiple charges including murder, manslaughter, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and concealment of human corpse, police say.
Officers previously found body parts burning in a shopping cart in Yonkers on Aug. 5. After further investigation, it was found to be connected to more human remains left in a Bronx apartment, according to authorities.
Officials say the torso and head found in Yonkers had been transported on a Metro-North train. Meanwhile in the Bronx, police say they found legs in a freezer and hands in a crockpot with bleach.
Drug paraphernalia and a firearm were also located in the apartment, according to police.
The deceased was later identified by officials as 46-year-old Lutalo Henderson. Police are continuing to investigate the motive behind the killing.
