Man arrested after 64-year-old man found dead inside Queens home: NYPD

FAR ROCKAWAY, Queens (PIX11) – A man was arrested in connection to the death of a 64-year-old man inside his Queens home on Saturday, according to the NYPD.

Police said the victim was found on the floor with his back against the wall in the bedroom of the home in Far Rockaway at around 12:40 a.m. Officers discovered the man had superficial facial injuries, according to authorities.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released his identity pending family notification.

Gyasi Denis, 35, was arrested Saturday evening, according to authorities. He's been charged with manslaughter, burglary, criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
