NEW DELHI: Despite the absence of
Paul George
in the second half due to a sore left groin, the
Los Angeles Clippers
secured a convincing 119-99 victory over the
Sacramento Kings
on Tuesday, extending their winning streak to a season-best five games.
Kawhi Leonard
led the Clippers with an impressive 31-point performance, making 11 of 14 field goals.
James Harden
and
Norman Powell
each contributed 15 points, while
Terance Mann
added 10.
The Clippers took control early in the game, leading 32-24 after the first quarter and expanding their advantage to as much as 29 points by halftime with a score of 70-48. Despite George's absence in the second half, Los Angeles continued to dominate, extending their lead to 33 points late in the third quarter at 99-66.
The Clippers finished the game shooting 52.4 percent from the field, marking the second consecutive game in which they made more than half of their total shots. This victory is the 10th in the past 13 games for the Clippers, who have bounced back from a challenging stretch earlier in the season.
For the Kings,
Keegan Murray
led the scoring with 17 points, and Domantas Sabonis contributed 15 points along with 10 rebounds. De'Aaron Fox added 14 points, but the Kings were unable to overcome the Clippers' strong performance.
