In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Amitabh Bachchan reflected on his early career days and shared how he was clueless about getting a job after completing his education. The episode began with rollover contestant Abhishek Sandhu, an Employment Officer with the Haryana Government.

Rishi found himself stuck on the Rs 80,000 question and decided to use the 'Video Call A Friend' lifeline. The question asked how many among Zubin Mehta, S.H. Raza, Manjit Bawa, and Jamini Roy were famous Indian painters. He confidently chose Option C) Only 3, which turned out to be the correct answer.
In a lighthearted conversation, the host asked Rishi about his education, to which Rishi revealed that he had completed a B-Tech in Engineering and was currently searching for a job. He jokingly added, "Sir, where do engineers even find jobs nowadays?" Amitabh Bachchan playfully responded, "Jab maalum tha nahi milti naukri toh kahe padhe aap Usko (When you knew there were no jobs, why did you study it in the first place? (When you knew there were no jobs, why did you study it in the first place?).”
The veteran actor further added that his condition was quite similar to what he was going through during his younger days. He said, "Humko bhi malum nahi tha ke kya hoga, BSC leliya aur uske baad na malum tha na kuch hua, aur kahan chale gaye Na BSC dikha na TSC dikha. Aaj tak humko maalum nahi ek bhi cheez joh humne padha tha (Even I didn’t know what would happen. I did BSc, and after that, neither did I know anything, nor did anything happen. I went somewhere, but neither the BSc nor the TS. came in handy. To this day, I don't know a single thing I studied).”
Towards the end, Rishi was played the Rs 1,60,000 question where he was asked about Mahabharata. The question was Kampilya served as the Capital of which of these kings? Rishi who did not know the answer, decided to quit the show. Before leaving, he selects Option B) Drupada and it was the correct answer. The contestant took home Rs 80,000.
