Randhir reminisced about the time he and Rajiv spent together at their bungalow in Chembur. He expressed regret that despite Rajiv's initial success with his debut film, he couldn't achieve much in Bollywood. Randhir noted that Rajiv's short-lived marriage to Aarti Sabharwal in 2001 and various unfortunate incidents in his life had a negative impact on him. This led to deep frustration, causing him to lose focus on his professional endeavors. Despite being considered the most talented among the Kapoors, Rajiv's life lacked stability. Randhir also mentioned Rajiv's directorial venture, "Prem Granth" (1996), which unfortunately failed.
Rajiv’s brother also revealed that Rajiv was quite enthusiastic about his involvement in 'Toolsidas Junior.' Randhir Kapoor mentioned that Rajiv was hopeful about receiving substantial character roles in the film. However, he tragically passed away before its release. 'Toolsidas Junior' was eventually released in 2022.
