NEW YORK (PIX11) – Vice President Kamala Harris is speaking at the White House on Wednesday following her projected loss against President-elect Donald Trump in the 2024 election.
Trump was projected to have 277 electoral votes, while Harris had 224 as of Wednesday afternoon, according to The Associated Press.
Trump made gains in four out of the seven swing states: Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Arizona, Michigan and Nevada have not been called yet by the AP.
Harris entered the race after President Joe Biden dropped out in July. She focused her campaign on abortion rights, more taxes for the wealthy, tax cuts for the middle class and climate change.
Harris is expected to speak around 4 p.m.
