Silambarasan aka Simbu will be celebrating his birthday on Saturday, February 9. Ahead of the big day, Kamal Haasan unveiled a new poster of his upcoming film, tentatively titled 'STR 48'. Directed by Desingh Periasamy, the film is touted to be a period action entertainer. It is being bankrolled by veteran actor Kamal Haasan.

On Friday, February 2, Kamal Haasan shared birthday wishes to Silambarasan by unveiling the first-look poster from his upcoming film 'STR 48'. Simbu will be playing a dual role in the movie. Haasan's post also carried the tagline 'Blood and Battle' in the caption. Additionally, he wrote, "Happy Birthday to my dear brother (sic)."

The poster also presents a formidable army ready for battle, set against a backdrop of raging flames. The visual aesthetic of the poster hints at a period-fantasy film, portraying Simbu as a courageous knight. The poster promises 'STR 48' to be a distinctive cinematic experience, ensuring an exceptional time for the audience in theatres.

'STR 48' marks the first collaboration between director Desingh Periasamy and Silambarasan. It was reported that Keethy Suresh will play the female lead. However, an official confirmation is awaited. As per reports, Anirudh Ravichander has been confirmed as the film's music composer.
