Heinrich Klaasen and Travis Head
Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad have etched their name firmly in IPL history books by becoming the first team to register the top four highest totals in IPL history, after a mammoth 278/3 against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday in Delhi. With this explosive batting display in the 68th match of IPL 2025, SRH now hold the following record-breaking scores:
- 287/3 vs RCB (2024)
- 286/6 vs RR (2025)
- 278/3 vs KKR (2025)
- 277/3 vs MI (2024)
SRH's latest feat came on the back of Heinrich Klaasen’s sensational century, who smashed an unbeaten 105 off just 39 balls, registering the fastest hundred of IPL 2025 and joining the elite list of the quickest IPL centuries of all time. The match began with SRH winning the toss and opting to bat first. Travis Head laid the foundation with a fluent 76 off 40, while Abhishek Sharma chipped in with a breezy 32 off 16.
Ishan Kishan added 29, and Aniket Verma finished unbeaten on 13, helping SRH post the third-highest total in IPL history — all three top scores now held by SRH.
Klaasen’s 37-ball century is now tied as the fourth fastest in IPL history, only behind Chris Gayle (30 balls), Vaibhav Suryavanshi (35), and Yusuf Pathan (37). It was a clinical knock featuring 9 sixes, second only to Abhishek Sharma’s 10 sixes for SRH. Speaking post-match, Klaasen said,"Very pleased.
It’s been a long season of disappointment, but I stuck to my processes. I tried to hit every ball for six and improvised when Narine bowled that tricky spell. My batting position at number 3 depends on the match situation, and today it clicked perfectly."
