11 months ago 14

Actor

Kamal Haasan

was last seen in the film '

Vikram

' in 2022. The actor is now gearing up for the release of his film 'Indian 2', which is directed by

Shankar

. While the film's post-production work is in full swing, the actor met the cadres of his political party last evening. Speaking to the media, he revealed in an interaction that they were discussing their political plan for the upcoming elections and said that if there is any news to announce, he will make an official statement later.
At the same time, when he was questioned about his views on the

Ram Mandir

inauguration, the actor said that he had already spoken about it 30 years ago and stuck to the same opinion.

He said that his answer is the same as it was back then. Kamal Haasan, in 1991, after a major riot because of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya, made a statement that it does not make a difference whether it is a Rama Temple or a Babar mosque. He said that he believes in people with the ideology of no religious differences. The actor also stressed this point through his film '

Hey Ram

' in the song 'Ramar Aanalum Babar Aanalum, Sneham onu thaan'.
Though the actor did not give a straight-forward opinion towards the Ram Mandir inauguration, it is likely that he is referring to this point of his where he does not believe in religious differences.
On the work front, Kamal Haasan has his next film, tentatively titled '

KH 233

' with H Vinoth. The film is touted as a sociopolitical thriller based on rural life. The film's music will be composed by Harris Jayaraj. The actor also has 'Thug Life' with

Mani Ratnam

, and it features Trisha,

Dulquer Salmaan

, and

Jayam Ravi

in lead roles alongside Kamal Haasan. The movie's music is composed by AR Rahman.
