' is one of the highly anticipated projects of the actor's career, but the film is facing some issues in its making, related to the leading lady of the film.
Originally the 'Guntur Kaaram' actress,

Sreeleela

was announced to be the leading lady of this venture, but there were some delays in its making, because of Vijay Deverakonda's prior commitment to the upcoming movie 'Family Star' starring Mrunal Thakur.

Due to the delay in the shooting, Sreeleela found herself unable to give further dates for the shoot, which eventually led to the makers dropping her.
Reports

suggested that two names that emerged after that for the lead, were

Triptii Dimri

and Rukimi Vasanth. In a recent report by Gulte however, it is being said that Triptii demanded a higher fee for the role and also cited unavailability of dates.

In another revelation, it is also suggested that Sreeleela may be back for her role, as the actress won't mind joining the team after her fee and dates are worked out.
'VD12' is a spy-thriller entertainer with a captivating story with stunning action sequences.

Triptii Dimri was last seen in the mega-blockbuster film, 'Animal' where she only played an extended cameo, but was enough to captivate the audience. She has also worked in the movies 'Qala', 'Bulbbul', 'Laila Majnu' and more.
