, shared a video update on his injury, leaving fans concerned about his availability for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, starting from January 11.
In a recent Instagram post,
Suryakumar
is seen walking with the aid of a crutch, wearing a brace on his foot.
Despite the setback, the cricketer maintained a positive outlook, stating, "On a slightly serious note, injuries are never fun, but I'll take it in my stride and promise to be back, fully fit, in no time! Till then, hope you all are enjoying the holiday season and finding little joys, every day."
The injury comes at a crucial time, especially considering Suryakumar's outstanding performance in the recent T20I series against South Africa.
In that series, he was named the 'Player of the Series' for his exceptional batting display, amassing 156 runs in two matches, including a century and a fifty.
However, with no official word on his status for the upcoming Afghanistan series, uncertainty looms over Suryakumar's participation.
