Luka Doncic isn't giving up, even after the Lakers gave away Game 4

6 hours ago 8

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered another heartbreaking playoff defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, during which they were seemingly in position to win during crunch time, only to commit costly miscues.

Luka Doncic was outstanding for the third time in the four games played in this series by scoring 38 points on 13-of-28 overall shooting and 5-of-12 from 3-point shooting. But he, along with his teammates, mostly shot blanks in the fourth quarter as a 94-84 Lakers lead at the start of the period turned into a 116-113 loss.

The Lakers are now down three games to one in this best-of-seven series and will be facing elimination in Game 5 back home on Wednesday. While fans are likely fretting and feeling a sense of impending doom, Doncic reminded everyone that nothing is done yet.

Luka: "We haven't lost nothing yet. It's first to 4 games."

The one positive for Los Angeles is that if it somehow manages to win Game 5 and Game 6, Game 7 would be played at Crypto.com Arena. However, the team hasn't given any reason thus far for any rational observer to believe that a seventh game will end up taking place.

The Lakers have lost each fourth quarter of this series by a fairly wide margin. They will have to dramatically improve their play in crunch time, as well as their rebounding, in order to get back into this series.
