BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – PIX11 News has learned more human remains have been found near Brooklyn Bridge Park, the NYPD announced Friday evening.
Officers received a 911 call for possible human remains at 12:43 p.m. Thursday. Bone fragments were found near 47 Water Street, police said.
PIX11 News contacted The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York. They were not immediately available to comment.
This is the fourth time bones have been found near Brooklyn Park. Just last month, in August, bones were found near the carousel near the Brooklyn waterfront, which offers views of Lower Manhattan’s panoramic skyline.
A full investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
