Local Girl Scout troops will kick off the season over the weekend at an annual Cookie Rally, a gathering at Barclays Center that will include crafts and cookie-themed activities.

The much-anticipated cookie season officially started Tuesday with one major change after the 2025 season, S’Mores and Toast-Yay cookies will retire.

There are dozens of Girl Scout troops across New York City, including Troop 6000, dedicated to families living in the city’s shelter system.

“Girl Scout Cookie season is about so much more than selling the iconic cookies people know and love,” said Girl Scouts USA Chief Revenue Officer Wendy Lou. “The sweet success of each sale is a testament to how much girls can change the world when they put their minds to it.”
