GV Prakash's 'Rebel' censored U/A

, who was last seen in 'Adiyae' is gearing up for the release of his next film 'Rebel'. The film directed by debutant

Nikesh

, is said to be about a

rebel

student in Munnar in the 1980s. While the makers are yet to announce the release date, the film has been cleared by Censor Board with an U/A certificate.
The film which has Mollywood actress

Mamitha Baiju

making her debut as a female lead will be an action drama, with a little bit of politics.

The film cast includes Venkitesh VP, Shalu Rahim, Karunas, Adhithya Baskar, Kalloori Vinoth and Subramaniya Siva among others.

The over 90-second teaser earlier revealed that the film is about the story of a man who fought for Tamil and lost his life. The film will also have a non-linear screenplay and will feature stories of the people in Munnar.

Interestingly, GV Prakash has also scored the music and the technical team includes cinematography by Arunkrishna Radhakrishnan and editing by Leo John Paul.
