Govt appoints officials for SFX feast

Panaji: Govt has constituted

functional areas

and has also appointed designated functional area heads to oversee day-to-day preparations of

Exposition

of the sacred relics of

St Francis Xavier

at Old Goa.
The functional heads will coordinate with other heads, church authorities, and support the Exposition secretariat led by the chief minister.
Omvir Singh, inspector general of police will be the functional area head for traffic management as well as law and order.

Sneha Gitte, North Goa Collector will be in charge of administration, coordination, and protocol. Nitin Sinai Nevrekar, chief engineer PWD is in charge of infrastructure and services while Dipak Bandekar, director of information and publicity will be responsible for media and publicity. Levinson Martins, commissioner of labour and employment will oversee waste management and sanitation. Vikas Gaunekar, additional secretary finance will oversee finance management.
