NEW DELHI: Authorities on Tuesday morning were alerted about a
chlorine cylinder leakage
in the
Jhanjra area
of Prem Nagar police station in Dehradun after the incident sparked panic.
The chlorine cylinder was kept in an empty plot and the incident resulted in people experiencing difficulty in breathing, prompting an immediate response from the police, NDRF (National Disaster Response Force), SDRF (State Disaster Response Force), and the fire department.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Dehradun, Ajay Singh, said people staying in the locality have been moved to safe places.
