NEW YORK (PIX11) – The Earth has completed another year around the sun and now it's time for new phases of the moon.
The Farmer’s Almanac has released the full moon names for 2025 and dates for when you can look up to see them.
Historically, full moons were used to track the seasons and were given names that reflected nature’s signs. The names have roots in Native American, Colonial American, or other traditional North American sources.
Here is a list of the full moons and when we’ll see them this year:

- Jan. 13 - Full Wolf Moon
- Feb. 12 - Full Snow Moon
- March 14 - Full Worm Moon
- April 12 - Full Pink Moon
- May 12 - Full Flower Moon
- June 11 - Full Strawberry Moon
- July 10 - Full Buck Moon
- Aug. 9 - Full Sturgeon Moon
- Sep. 7 - Full Corn Moon
- Oct. 6 - Harvest Moon / Full Hunter’s Moon
- Nov. 5 - Full Beaver Moon
- Dec. 4 - Full Cold Moon
