NEW DELHI: In a rematch of the

2023 Stanley Cup Final

, the

Florida Panthers

secured a 4-2 victory over the

Vegas Golden Knights

on Saturday afternoon in Sunrise, Florida. The win ended Florida's two-game losing streak and marked Vegas's third consecutive regulation loss, a first for them this season.
The Golden Knights took an early 1-0 lead in the second period when

Mark Stone

, left alone in the low slot, received a pass from Ivan Barbashev and fired a wrist shot into the top left corner of the net.

Florida responded midway through the period as

Sam Bennett

's wrist shot from the right circle beat

Vegas

goaltender Jiri Patera under his left arm.

The Panthers claimed a 2-1 lead later in the second period when Aleksander Barkov set up

Gustav Forsling

for a shot from the top of the left circle that found its way through traffic and past Patera. Vegas managed to tie the game at 2 with just 23 seconds remaining in the period when Pavel Dorofeyev converted a crossing pass from Ben Hutton.

Florida regained the lead in the third period with power-play goals.

followed with another power-play goal, making it 4-2. The Golden Knights struggled on the penalty kill, allowing their ninth power-play goal over the last four games.

made 23 saves for the Panthers, securing his 15th win of the season. The Panthers had an impressive 42 shots on goal, while the Golden Knights were limited to just three shots in the first period.
