Five injured in four-alarm fire in the Bronx: FDNY

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Five people were injured after a four-alarm fire broke out in the Bronx Sunday afternoon, according to the FDNY.

The fire was reported around 2:20 p.m. at a six-story apartment building at 345 Cypress Avenue.

Crews were able to put out a heavy fire in an apartment on the sixth floor that extended to the cockloft space. A video shared by the FDNY shows firefighters engulfed in heavy smoke on the roof of the building.

Three civilians and two firefighters were injured, according to FDNY officials.

Officials are currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
