The driver, who only speaks Mandarin, did not want his name known but wanted to share his story with other TLC drivers.

The incident happened Oct. 10 at 11:30 p.m. The victim had picked up a man and the suspect together, but he believed they were fighting and that the passenger was scared.

"He told my dad to run away, to drive the car. She picked up a trash can, hit the car, got in the passenger seat, beat my dad, pushed him down, and crashed," the son said.

Both people in the car ran away, and it is now totaled, leaving the family without a source of income.
