CHANDIGARH: Two days after former Punjab PCC chief Navjot Singh
Sidhu
held an independent 'Jittega Punjab' rally in Bathinda district, knives were out in Congress against him on Wednesday with several
leaders
demanding his expulsion from the party for "
indiscipline
and self-glorification". At the rally, Sidhu had taken a dig at his colleagues in the party, including former CM Charanjit Singh Channi.
Congress leaders issued a joint statement saying that Sidhu's actions had often harmed the party and cost it the last assembly election.
Former Zira legislator Kulbir Singh Zira said: "His indiscipline in dealing with political matters counters the party's collective efforts. This was evident when he pulled us down from 78 seats in the 2017 to a mere 18 in 2022."
Further, Navjot Singh Dahiya claimed that he had a history of letting the workers down by not being team player.
