Radhika Vidyasagar, known for her portrayal of Renuka in
Udne Ki Aasha
, describes her journey on the show as both exhilarating and emotionally demanding. “From the beginning, all sequences were quite interesting, and what I can say—drama-filled,” she shares. “I’m getting to do a lot of different get-ups, and that’s been fun for me.”
One of the standout moments for Radhika has been her role in the
Anarkali sequence
, which she calls “hilarious and interesting.” The sequence, filled with drama, has been a highlight for her, especially with her character’s refusal to change, adding a layer of complexity to her portrayal.
“Being a nasty character and having lots of drama made the scenes so interesting, especially with Sailee replying straight to her. It was just so much fun to perform.”
While the dramatic scenes provide a sense of fulfillment, Radhika also speaks about the emotional toll of her role. “There were some emotionally taxing scenes when Paresh was in hospital, and I remember crying a lot during the 3rd and 4th days of shooting. My eyes were swollen from the tears,” she admits, adding, “The close-up sequences were really powerful, and I loved doing them even though they drained me emotionally.”
Despite the emotional exhaustion, Radhika enjoys the challenge of performing such scenes. “I personally love performing
emotional scenes
. It’s taxing, yes, but there’s something special about diving deep into a character's emotions. It helps me connect better with the audience, even if it’s draining at times,” she reflects.
For Radhika, Udne Ki Aasha has been a rewarding experience of transformation—one that has allowed her to explore a wide range of emotions and characters, while also pushing her limits as an actress.
