On visiting India
It’s beautiful to come to India. It’s very interesting and I’ve realised this now, because I’ve not been coming here too often. The moment the airplane is about to touch down in Mumbai, I get this feeling that I’m home. Ghar aagaye it’s a beautiful feeling.
Meeting friends
Actually, I’ve not been able to meet many of my friends after coming to Mumbai. And now everyone is getting to know that I’m back and my friends are calling me angrily about why I’m not staying with them. Everyone has been asking me 'Tu rahegi Kahan par'? because I have so many friends. I’ve so many houses in Mumbai that all of my friends are asking me to stay with them. Love is very beautiful and I’ve not been able to meet many of my friends and I don’t think I will be able to meet everyone.
On release of the debut film
My debut film Dashmi released and recently the preview of the film happened. This is my first theatrical experience and to see myself on that big screen was very beautiful. I told myself Haan yaar theek lagti hoon main. It was a very good experience. I’ve come here with the logic of premiere but my real reason to be in India is for my father’s knee surgery. He’s in Bangalore and the timing was correct and it matched everything. I decided to come here first and attend the premiere then go back to Bangalore and take care of my father. This trip is quite hectic.
On being part of television
Television is my heart and I’m too proud to be a television actor and whatever I’ve learnt about acting is from television. Whatever, I’ve achieved in life thodi bahut pehchaan, naam, recognition whatever it is all because of television. Even if today I get offered an amazing TV show with a limited number of episodes, I’ll happily do it. I love television.

It is time to get rewarded for 20 years of hard work
Honestly, it is very difficult to do television. We have gone through so much while working for a TV show that it has become a boot camp for us. From shooting for 20 hours at a stretch, getting a three page monologue script while doing makeup to not being fully prepared still performing it. We have been trained so well that the medium doesn’t bother a Television actor. Joh laana hai le aap. Just give us good characters. I feel it is time to get rewarded for my 20 years of
hardwork
and now I should get good roles. People like us who have been through negative, positive situations should be rewarded with good projects whether it is big or small. It was beautiful to watch myself on screen but television is my first love.
