There is surely no other way to read the politics of the call by Premier Steven Miles to not have in his cabinet a stand-alone Minister for the Olympics and Paralympics than as a clear rebuke to his predecessor Annastacia Palaszczuk – who of course created that role and then promptly appointed herself to it.
