PATCHOGUE, N.Y. (PIX11) – Two men allegedly stole two ATMs on Long Island and attempted to snatch more, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
The robbery spree started on March 5 and lasted through March 11, and the two men, John Mahoney and Jamie Volini, were arrested Tuesday, police said.
The two hit Holtsville, Ronkonkoma, Holbrook, East Patchogue and Shirley in the five day spree, during which they stole an ATM from a 7-Eleven, police said. At a Mobil Gas and Ronkonkoma Deli, the pair were unsuccessful, police said.
One of the men, Mahoney, went solo and snatched an ATM from a Blue Moon Beer and Smoke Shop in Holbrook, and cut into an ATM in Shirley, police said.
Both men now face burglary charges and Volini, 46, faces additional drug possession charges because he had cocaine during the time of his arrest, according to SCPD.
