AGRA: A 14-year-old physically challenged boy raped a 12-year-old girl in
Aligarh
on Thursday. The incident came to light when the victim reached her home crying in pain and narrated her ordeal to her parents, who filed a police complaint against the accused.
A police officer privy to the case informed, “The accused, who is deaf and mute, was immediately taken into custody and kept under the supervision of the
Child Line
.
The boy told police that he committed the crime after watching porn on his mobile phone."
DSP Krishna Gopal Singh said, “An FIR has been registered under sections of the
Pocso Act
. On Friday, the minor accused was produced before the
Juvenile Justice Board
. He will be sent to the juvenile home in Agra."
Police said the survivor was admitted to hospital, and medical examination confirmed sexual assault. The girl informed police that the boy, a neighbour, took her to an isolated place near their house and raped her as she kept crying for help.
