SOUTH OZONE PARK, Queens (PIX11) --- A woman who allegedly stabbed her 70-year-old father to death in their Queens home claims the man sexually abused her as a child, authorities said.

Peter Cavak's wife found her daughter on top of her blood-soaked husband in the bedroom of the house on 109th Avenue in South Ozone Park at around 7 a.m. on June 5, according to NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny.

"My husband has been murdered," the woman told the cops, Kenny said during a briefing Tuesday.

Ana Cavak, 30, allegedly stabbed her dad to death with a rectangular object. She was heard yelling, "he's trying to kill me," before her mother rushed into the bedroom, according to police.

The suspect had filed a recent complaint alleging her father sexually abused her when she was a minor, authorities said. The younger Cavak also told police she had a sister who committed suicide because of similar abuse.

"She made statements when she was interrogated that her father was in a cult and that he was abusive," Kenny said.

The daughter then left the home after the alleged attack and drove to New Jersey, where she was arrested at a rest stop the same day, cops said.

The suspect is expected to be extradited to New York City on Wednesday to face murder charges, according to the NYPD.
