Correction officer’s gun stolen from parked car in Brooklyn: sources

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A correction officer’s gun was stolen during the burglary of a parked car in Brooklyn on Jan. 29, sources told PIX11 News.

It happened near Madison Avenue and Bedford Avenue close to 2 a.m. Police said two suspects allegedly broke into a red 2025 Honda Accord and stole a Glock 45 9mm firearm and a debit card.

The gun, which belonged to a 27-year-old correction officer, was in a lockbox, sources said.

The duo was then accused of fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.
