NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – Sunday promises lots of sunshine and comfortable, seasonable temperatures.
Sunday is slightly cooler than yesterday with a high around 71 degrees expected. Sunday night, temperatures will not cool down as much since there will be cloud cover and some storms ahead of a frontal system moving into the region overnight.
There will be showers on Monday for some during the rush hour commute before clearing out through the afternoon. Expect a mix of sun and clouds later on with high temps again in the low 70s.
Tuesday starts a stretch of dry, cool air set to stay put throughout the remainder of the week. This will bring a more dramatic temperature change with high temps down to the mid to upper 60s.
Some morning temperatures mid-week will dip into the 40s and possibly even the upper 30s north and west of the city. It will become breezy on Wednesday with winds out of the northwest.
By Saturday, we should warm up back to the 70s with continued sunshine.
Eyeing the Gulf of Mexico, Tropical Storm Milton is brewing with winds around 60 miles per hour as of Sunday morning. It is expected to ultimately intensify to a Category 3 Hurricane and make landfall over Tampa late Tuesday.
