Consecration of Abu Dhabi's 1st Hindu temple takes place ahead of opening by PM Modi

The consecration of the sprawling Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, built by the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha or the BAPS society, began on Wednesday ahead of its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Built on 27 acres of land, this will be the first Hindu stone temple in Abu Dhabi which features a unique blend of Indian culture and the United Arab Emirates’s (UAE) identity.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the Gyanvapi premises on Tuesday, where he worshipped the 'Vyas Ka Tekhana'. This comes days after a Varanasi court allowed the Hindu devotees to worship inside the sealed basement of Gyanvapi mosque. The Chief Minister's visit to Varanasi comes ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to his parliamentary constituency.
