NEW YORK (PIX11) – Have you received a robocall from CitiBank in the last 10 years without ever being a customer? You may be entitled to financial compensation.
People who may have received a phone call about a past-due credit card account from CitiBank between Aug. 15, 2014 and July 31, 2024 could receive a settlement payment ranging from $350 to $850.
The settlement comes after a lawsuit filed in Arizona court, accusing CitiGroup of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Although CitiGroup denied wrongdoing both the company and the person suing agreed to a settlement of $29.5 million.
The website run by the plaintiff’s attorneys and class administrator outlines details of the court’s action and potential settlement.
To possibly receive a payment you must submit an online claim form by Dec. 20. Those applying will have to provide proof that they received the robocall while not being a CitiBank customer within the specific timeframe.
The court will make a final decision on whether to approve the settlement on Jan. 14, 2025.
