Chipotle to hire 19,000 workers for 'burrito season,' offers free food and benefits

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Chipotle Mexican Grill is hiring 19,000 people nationwide for what the company calls "burrito season."  

March through May is the busiest season for guacamole and carne asada slinging, according to Chipotle. And to attract talent to their restaurant, Chipotle is introducing new benefits.

The benefits package includes: 

  • Bonuses for teams  
  • A health care package that includes dental, vision, and mental health counseling  
  • Paid vacation and sick leave  
  • Flexible scheduling  
  • Free food  

“Empowering our talent is embedded in our company’s culture,” said Ilene Eskenazi, Chipotle's chief human resources officer. “As we push toward our long-term goal of operating 7,000 restaurants in North America, it’s crucial that we listen to and adapt to the needs of our team members, so they can grow with us.”
