BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Two lottery player got very lucky in New York City in Tuesday's drawing, winning $1 million and $4 million prizes, the New York Lottery announced Wednesday.
In Bed-Stuy, a second-prize ticket worth $4 million was sold at Ralph Avenue Liquor Store on Ralph Avenue near Bainbridge Street.
And in the Bronx, a second-prize ticket worth $1 million was sold at Three Star Candy Store on Metropolitan Avenue near Red Oak Drive.
The Mega Millions drawing happens every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. The Mega Millions jackpot is up to $47 million - prize each player only has a one in 302,575,350 chance of winning.
The region has proven particularly lucky in recent weeks. Just Tuesday, one New Jersey player became $223 million richer after winning the Powerball jackpot. Two big winners in Rockaway will split a $4.9 million Pick-6 jackpot after both taking home winning numbers.
