BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- The annual Brooklyn Book Fest will turn the borough into a literary hub.
More than 200 authors and publishers will gather to bring panel discussions, autograph signings, and of course hundreds of books from Sept. 22 to Sept. 30.
The week-long festival kicks off with virtual writing events on Saturday Sept. 22, giving attendees the chance to learn more about writing for cookbooks, novels, history, and poetry.
The festival then comes to life offline with panels spanning much of Downtown Brooklyn’s most historic sites on Sept. 29. Visitors will get to explore spots like Columbus Park, St. Ann & The Holy Trinity Church, and Borough Hall Courtroom.
Avid readers will get the chance to meet and hear from both up-and-coming writers as well as bestselling authors, including Edwidge Danticat, Judy Blume, Kiley Reid, and R.L. Stein.
Kids will also find the excitement in reading during Children’s Day on Sept. 28, where they can sit for read aloud events and take part in art driven workshops.
In between the many panels and meet-and-greets, will also be tons of “bookend” events where readers can mingle at parties or find their next read at book fairs.
A full schedule and list of featured authors is available online.
